Bailey Van Tassel(@baileyvantassel) is a “fancy vegetable garden and estate designer”, leading a team in Nashville, Tennessee. She is the author of the well-loved gardening book, Kitchen Garden Living, as well as a weekly Substack, Tended.

She shares her gardening skills online, as well as her personal story of growing up on a farm, ending up reluctantly in suburbia, and then returning to her country roots.

Determined to bloom where she is planted, Bailey focuses on kitchen gardening and cut flowers, showcasing how you can grow in any amount of space with a limited amount of time. She gardens with her three young children and husband beside her, believing that living seasonally and staying grounded to the natural world is vitally important to creating a meaningful life, no matter where you are.
